Recruitment Agencies

My afternoin has compelled me to write a quick blog thingy. You would assume that, as a recruitment agency, their aim is to get people into jobs, the more qualified and experienced the better, yes? Or is it just me and my perspective of what I imagine such a business to be? From my angle, I thought that the recruitment consultants got paid commission for every person they manage to recommend to a client for a job. Thats pretty much the main idea.

So why the fuck, when I go down to a recommended recruitment agency today, armed with a degree and a lot of good experience, do I not get seen to? Why do I go down there, sign in at reception, be told to sit and Id be called, only to wait for half an hour and decide to enquire, and find that they had completely missed me?! Why, oh why, did I sit in the same room as some scroats that crawled out of their hideout, only to see them all be seen by the consultants? To me, that takes the piss.

I could do all of their jobs put together, and still be better than them. Wankers.
