The Weekend

Sunday, April 27th, 2008

So, I thought I would attempt and update my blog - I dont write half as many posts as James does. I never seem to have anything to write about.

However, I must say, I have had a partocularly lovely weekend, and I have James to thank :) On Friday, we made dinner for a couple of friends, to celebrate their engagement and also just to have people over. It was lovely, skewered kebabs, rice and salad. I highly approve of James’ cooking, always have. So Thank You to James. Although, I am proud of my home-made mint yoghurt dip. It was very nice. I thought so anyway. So then, we had a few drinks, and went over to the India Arms for a change of scenery, which was nice. Ive not actually been in there before, so it was nice to see. Then we wandered back, and watched the Boosh. It was a lovely evening. Ben and Ali are lovely lovely people.

So Saturday came, and the weather was lovely, the start of our first summer together :) We had a wander into town for some bits and an ice cream on Guildhall steps. We went down to the seafront to meet Leila and everyone. There was a mini-festival or something happening, and it was pretty busy. Not on the scale of Wacken, Im sure. Woo for Wacken and Hellfest btw. Anyway, we sat overlooking the sea for a while, and wandered back home. James informed me I had to be ready for a dinner reservation surprise at 8.30pm. And that was all I was told. I wore my new shoes. They are niiiice. After much confusion by James driving randomly around Southsea, we arrived at the Lemon Sole. Ive been wanting to try it out for ages, and we had the opportunity. It was absolutely lovely. James had the exotic fish, and I went for the Barramundi, after Oysters and Whitebait/Calamari starter. It was divine. Albeit a bit pricey; James wouldnt tell me how much it cost, just that I was worth every penny. He’s so amazing, and it was a wonderful evening. I really wouldnt swap a single second of the time I spend with James for anything in the world. We are that good. Hehe.
So yeah, thanks for a fantastic weekend baby. Its been brilliant, and Im looking forward to our first summer together. Its starting.
